There are pros and cons to any looting system, but in order to be fair and objective in the matter of distributing loot, Wayward Soldiers uses DKP to ensure that its raiders are rewarded on the effort they've put in. This system supports members based on their committment to attendance. It is unique and complex, but designed with the best interests of the guild. Until further notice, this system will be in effect for all 25-man content with a rating of T5 or higher unless specifically noted otherwise.
Wayward Soldiers DKP:
-Once a member is given the status of "raider" he/she will be entitled to DKP for showing up to a raid on time and ready to go.
-The base DKP for a raider is 10 points per raid.
-Raiders who are invited to a raid and stay until the raid is called are entitled to the full amount of DKP.
-Raiders who do not receive an iniitial invite but remain online and available to raid until the raid is called are entitled to 75% DKP for that day.
-Any member who is asked to step out of a raid, once invited, is entitled to the full DKP amount for that raid.
-Any member who leaves a raid early, for whatever reason, is subject to a 50% penalty to their DKP for that day. If abandonment is deemed as excessive, it may punishable by a suspension of a raider's raiding status.
-Bids for items will be received via in-game whisper by the highest ranking guild member in the raid that is NOT bidding for an item. If this distinction is ambiguous, a roll between non-bidding raiders may be used to determine the recipient of bids
-In the extreme circumstance of all raiders bidding on a single item, the Raid Leader will accept all bids via in-game whisper.
-Any raider bidding on an item may not bid more points than he/she has accumulated
-Any raider biding on an item may only bid a percentage of the DKP they have accumulated based on the their attendance for the last 10 raids. For example -- player x has accumulated 30 DKP, and has attended 7 of the last 10 raids. Player x would be allowed to bid no more that 70% of his 30 DKP, or 21 DKP.
-Any raider bidding on an item must bid an amount equal to or more than 50% of his available DKP on that day. For example -- the aforementioned player x has 21 of his 30 DKP available for bidding. Player x must bid at least 11 DKP to qualify for the loot in question.
-Fractional DKP bids are not allowed with exception to a "max" dkp bid.
-In the event two or more bids tie, and either player still has remaining DKP left to bid, a rebid will be announced.
-In the event two or mor bids tie and both players have exhausted their DKP, a random /roll (1-100) will be used to determine the winner of the item.
-Updated DKP values with recent attendance will be available for viewing on the message boards.
Matters concerning alts:
-Alts do not have to separately apply to the guild.
-Alts must individually be approved raider status.
-DKP accumulated is assigned to the owner of the character, not the in game character.
-The DKP system does not prevent any raider from bidding on any item they want. However, bids that would be considered drastically in conflict with the well-being of the raid are subject to rejection. (for example, if a warrior were to bid on a staff that has little or no redeeming value for him).
BOE Items
-All raiders, including those on standby for that day, will be eligeable to bid on BOE items and patterns at the conclusion of the raid.
-BOE items that will not be available for bid include, but are not limited to, Mark of Illidari, Nether Vortex, Heart of Darkness, Sunmote. These items will be stored in the guild bank until a suitable usage can be determined for them.
-All other BOE items not bid on will be stored in the guild bank for future use and/or sale to the ah for guild funds.
Sharding
-Any BOP item not bid on will be disenchanted and the materials yielded by the process will be stored in the guild bank for future use and/or sale to the ah for guild funds.
Raider Status:
-After an application has been approved, raiding status must be approved by a group of no fewer than 3 high ranking guild members of Class Leader status or higher.
